All parents are automatically members of the very active parent association, the Friends of Castle Park (FCP). The FCP organises many social events throughout the year including summer fairs, quiz nights, coffee mornings, Thanksgiving dinner, fun days, evenings-out for Mums and Dads and guided walks in the local area. Committee members are elected at the Annual General Meeting in September and they meet formally once a term with the Headmaster to organise the events. The FCP provides a popular second hand uniform service.

The Friends of Castle Park incorporates a well-organised Welcome Network – this is particularly helpful for families who have recently moved to the area or to Ireland for the first time. The Welcome Network publishes a comprehensive booklet with information on a range of services and facilities in the local area including everything from secondary schools to shopping and medical services to restaurants. Upon arrival at Castle Park, the Welcome Network will contact new families giving details of events and how to contact them.
