Welcome to Castle Park School

Founded in 1904, Castle Park is an independent primary school for local children, that welcomes international pupils.

All of our children benefit from:

  • An academic curriculum that is broad, balanced and rigorous
  • Small class sizes that allow us to get to know each child as an individual
  • Highly qualified teachers with dedicated specialist facilities for Art, ICT, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, Science and Sport
  • An extensive network of computers and interactive whiteboards in every Prep classroom
  • Wide-ranging extra-curricular programme with great sports facilities that include an indoor swimming pool, all-weather playing surface together with 17 acres of playing fields and grounds
  • Close-knit community of pupils, staff and parents founded on our interdenominational Christian ethos

Castle Park pupils enjoy exceptional resources in a newly redeveloped school.  Every classroom has a computer and an interactive whiteboard.  Children are based in their Form Room for the core subjects of English, Irish, Mathematics, History, Geography and SPHE and move to specialist classrooms for Art & Design, ICT (computing), Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish), Music, Science as well as to the Sports Hall or Swimming Pool for Physical Education. Pupils also use the playing fields including our new Astroturf for Games lessons.

These facilities are supplemented by the Parker Library that houses over eight thousand fiction and non-fiction titles as well as digital resources. We have a wonderful Dining Room with full catering facilities where each child from Pre-Prep upwards eats a healthy hot lunch everyday.
