PREP CURRICULUM
The Irish Primary Curriculum is taught throughout and greatly enhanced in many areas. Pupils are taught primarily by their Form Teacher for the core subjects of English, Irish, Mathematics, History, Geography and SPHE. Form Teachers get to know each child as individuals and they deal with any pastoral or academic concerns that may arise.
Specialist teachers are deployed for Science, French, Spanish, Information Technology, Art, Music and Physical Education. In addition to the Form and Specialist teachers there is provision to help children who have been diagnosed as needing additional learning support. Further details of our arrangements for pupils who need Learning Support can be obtained from the School Office.
In all classrooms there are extensive ICT resources, both hardware and software, including an interactive whiteboard in every Form Room as well as in the ICT room, Creative Suite (Mac Platform), Science Laboratory and Modern Languages classroom. |
