The teaching of MFL aims to develop a love for languages and a desire among pupils to communicate with other nationalities. Pupils become aware of the value and importance of languages in today’s world.

French is taught to pupils in Forms I – V and in Form VI Spanish is introduced. Role play forms a key part of the curriculum where the pupils are encouraged to write their own scripts using a variety of topics from the coursework that reflect their daily lives at home, in school and in society. They also perform set role plays in pairs. Both languages are taught by a specialist teacher.
