    Castle Park Achieves an SFI Discover Science and Maths Award

    We are delighted to report that Castle Park has achieved an SFI Discover Science and Maths Award.  The work was led by Ms Prendergast (our CP Science Specialist).

    The notification from the Primary Science and Maths Team read as follows:

    Congratulations – your school has achieved an SFI Discover Science and Maths Award. We have evaluated your Log of Evidence and we are satisfied that you have met all the criteria for the Plaque of STEM.

    Your school has provided evidence of children’s engagement with STEM in the following areas:

    Congratulations to all in Castle Park School on being awarded your SFI Plaque of STEM for 2020/21 in a challenging year for all of us.  Your enthusiasm for STEM across the whole school is noted and your Log is very comprehensive. We note among many other excellent investigations – The Life Cycle of a Chicken, Wardrobe for Traction Man, Google Hangouts Robots and Microbits, A village on the Moon, Rockets Angles and Distance, your Science Blast feedback, and of course the wise owls! Your science method approach is training the scientists of the future.
