    Form IV Learn About Iceland

The energy, attention and diligence that Form IV bring to their Zoom classes knows no bounds!  During our lessons, we have been sharing our writing through ‘Author’s Chair’ from a narrative writing unit based on the ‘Dreamgiver,’ that we completed at the end of the last term.  The pupils developed the use of figurative language in their own written expression.  I have been amazed at the quality of their writing and we have enjoyed giving peer feedback! ‘Bia’ and ‘Caitheamh Aimsire’ have been the prevailing themes in Gaeilge over the past few weeks.  Among other activities, the class designed their own fruit salad having followed instructional writing ‘As Gaeilge’.  We have also been greeting each other in Icelandic over the past couple of weeks as Iceland became our new focus in Social Studies. Form IV designed a poster to reflect their knowledge on the ‘Land of Fire and Ice’ and they have also taken the notes from their research and used them to write an Information Report.  Bless! (Icelandic for ‘goodbye.’)
