Just before Christmas break, we held our very first Commendation Assembly. At the Assembly, Teachers had the opportunity to award commendations to pupils for a variety of academic reasons. Some pupils received an award for consistent effort or hard work, others for demonstrating a positive attitude towards their learning. Strong leadership qualities and collaboration skills were also rewarded. Each recipient was presented with a Commendation Certificate by the awarding teacher who outlined the reason for the award. There was great excitement in the Assembly Hall, and genuine delight for each other as each name was announced. It was a very positive way to encourage similar learning habits amongst the pupils. We look forward to more Commendation Assemblies when further academic endeavour and achievement can be celebrated.
